Slippery Elm

Suggested uses: Asthma, Bladder, Boils, Bronchitis, Burns, Cancer, Colitis, Colon, Constipation, Cramps, Cough, Diaper Rash, Diarrhea, Digestive Disorders, Douche, Eczema, Eyes, Flu, Fractures, Hemorrhage, Hemorrhoids, Hoarseness, Inflammation, Leucorrhea, Lumbago, Lungs, Mucous Membranes, Ovaries, Pleurisy, Sex Stimulant, Smoking, Sore Throat, Stomach, Tapeworms, Tonsillitis, Ulcers, Vagina, Water Retention, Wounds. Slippery Elm can be used internally, or externally. Because of its mucilage properties, it coats the Digestive Tract and aids in healing inflammation and is very soothing for Ulcers. Blend 1 teaspoon of powder in 1/2 cup water and give orally or in an enema for Diarrhea and Nausea. It can be used as a bolus for Uterine problems. Mullein

Mullein has been used by sufferers of Asthma, Bronchitis, Diaper rash, Diarrhea, Hemorrhage, Lungs, Sinus congestion & more. Used for Hemorrhage from bowel and lungs when taken internally. Used as a tea for Asthma, Diarrhea (enema), and bleeding from bowels. Boiled in milk for cough and diarrhea. Taken in extract or tea for bronchial problems. Applied as a poultice for swollen glands, stiff neck, and mumps. Flowers steeped in oil as an ointment for bruises and frostbite. Bruised leaves applied for diaper rash.

Marshmallow

Marshmallow has been used for Bladder, Kidneys, Lactation, Lungs, Urinary disorders & more. Because of its mucilaginous properties, it is considered soothing and healing. It is used to aid in removing stones and gravel form the Urinary Tract and also Hemorrhage from the Urinary Organs. Used as a poultice for Sprains. To increase the flow of milk and make it richer, it is taken as a warm tea.

Lobelia

Lobelia has been used by sufferers of Asthma, Childhood diseases, Ear infection, Nervous Disorders, Pain, Relaxant & much more. Lobelia is the most powerful relaxant of all herbs. It should be taken with a stimulant herb such as Cayenne or Peppermint. Also an alkaloid ad is the only active ingredient in Lobelia. Because of the cross tolerance to nicotine, smokers may require more. It increases the heart rate, Pituitary function, the Respirations and Peristaltic movement. Small doses act as a stimulant. Licorice

Licorice has been used by sufferers of Cough, Drug withdrawal, Endurance, Hoarseness, Hypoglycemia, Sore throat, Vitality, & more. The tea is used for Laryngitis to restore the voice. It has been used as a mild laxative for babies. Licorice helps expel Mucous from respiratory tract. It contains Estroil, an Estrogen. It contains Nutritive and laxative properties. Licorice depresses the pituitary. It is 50 times sweeter than sucrose and can be used to disguise the taste of bitter herbs. It is one of the most active herbs. CAUTION: Taken over a long period of time, or in large doses, it can cause sodium and water retention which elevates the blood pressure and may cause pains in the heart.  Listen to your body.

Kelp

Kelp has been used by sufferers of Goiters, Obesity, Pituitary Gland, Thyroid & morem and especially forr the adrenal and pituitary glands. As it is a natural iodine, it is purported to take weight off the hip area. Repeated small doses will decrease breast milk in nursing mothers. Caution: If Kelp is not needed, headaches could occur. Often it can be tolerated when taking in combination with other herbs.

Kava Kava's

Kava Kava's has been used by sufferers of anxiety, depression, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, and diminished sex drive. It has been used for improved mental functioning and mood without being addictive. Kava has also been used as an analgesic to help with toothache.

Hawthorn
